The Ox Put Out to Grass - Adaeus the Macedonian 4th Century BC
Alcon hasn't led off to the red axe
Worn out by coulter and by age his hard-worked ox:
Its labour honoured, in the deep grass it now
Happily lows its freedom from the plough.
